I learned from experience, and maybe you learned the same, there is simply no time to waste when it comes to designing and living the life we want. The fact that tomorrow isn't guaranteed is a catalyst for us to leverage our time in ways that matter to us most.

Turns out, it was a good thing.
My story
When you realized that everything could be taken away—realizing that your life may be rapidly be coming to an end—what was that question you asked yourself? What were you most upset about potentially missing out on? Mine? The time to travel the U.S. with my husband to explore beautiful and wild places. Something that I thought we would do in retirement. And in 2017, that was slipping away after being diagnosed with a 5cm brain tumor that had potentially life ending consequences. What. A. Stunner.
I left my corporate job, realized my dream of traveling the country, gained health coaching certifications, including the National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach designation, changed careers, and found new fulfilling ways to spend my time. I'm a life long learner, especially in the area of healthy lifestyle, and continue to change so I won't be haunted by 'what could have been'.
It took a year to walk this unexpected path of surgery, healing, and getting my strength back. I was one of the lucky ones. The tumor was benign and hadn't yet grown into the vagus nerve which would have signified a quick end to my time on this earth.
Today, I'm passionate about leveraging unwelcomed health events to turn them into something positive for professional working women.
Witnessing a client make a significant breakthrough brings a sense of genuine happiness and fulfillment, knowing that together we've unlocked the potential for transformative shift in their life. I understand the challenges and struggles that you may be facing and I'd love to be your partner to help you make the changes that matter to you most.
If I hadn't had the brain tumor, I doubt if I would have found the courage to take the risks to do the things I have done, or even realize what I really wanted out of life. For that, I'm grateful for the experience.
Throughout my treatment and recovery I did a lot reflecting on what was important to me and made a plan to radically change my life.
I relied on people to help me including a life coach, therapist, mentors, friends and family. But ultimately, I had to rely on myself to do the work, make different choices, and be committed to doing hard, sometimes scary, and uncomfortable things.
I achieved a Health & Wellness Coach Certification from the Catalyst Coaching Institute. Subsequently, I attained National Board Certification as a Health and Wellness Coach by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBHWC). Earning the designation of NBC-HWC entails meeting stringent standards, encompassing education from an approved institution, practical client engagement, and successful completion of national board examinations. As a member of the NBHWC community, you are assured of guidance from a coach who not only meets but surpasses industry benchmarks, ensuring a distinctive and elevated experience in your journey towards well-being.
